I never thought of myself as a fan of gourmand perfumes. I’ve always preferred oriental or floral compositions. But this spring, something magical happened — I got a sample of Reminiscence Les Notes Gourmandes Héliotrope, and it was love at first sniff. So much so that I immediately wanted a full-size bottle — which almost never happens to me. It was sold out everywhere, but after subscribing to restock notifications, I finally got my hands on the 100 ml bottle. And now my beauty is with me 💚
This French brand was new to me, but it instantly inspired confidence. The fragrance belongs to the oriental gourmand family, with notes of fig, green leaves, white cedar, heliotrope, almond, patchouli, sandalwood, benzoin, tonka bean, vanilla, and musk.
Although there’s no pistachio listed, it smells exactly like pistachio ice cream to me — likely thanks to the almond and vanilla combination. 🍨
The bottle design perfectly matches the scent — a pistachio-green glass bottle, a ribbon tied around the neck, and a crystal-like cap. The perfume concentration ensures impressive longevity — around 7–8 hours on skin and literally days on clothes.
From the first breath, I get the sweetness of fig and almond, while the vanilla and woody notes linger beautifully in the drydown. The scent has a rich, noticeable trail, feels warm and cozy on the skin, and never becomes cloying — even in summer.
If you love gourmand fragrances that are sweet yet elegant, this one is a must-try. I’m absolutely obsessed.
