I love moisturizing my skin all year round — lightweight creams in summer, rich body butters in winter. And who does it better than Sol de Janeiro? Today I’m sharing my thoughts on two of their most iconic formulas — Delícia Drench Body Butter and Brazilian Bum Bum Cream.
🧈 Delícia Drench Body Butter
Mine is the travel size (75 ml), though the full version is 240 ml. The packaging is sturdy, with a white twist cap and a protective inner lid — same design for both sizes.
The texture is thick, almost like whipped butter, and it melts beautifully on the skin. The scent? Heavenly — like vanilla ice cream, soft, cozy, and addictive. It lingers on the skin for a couple of hours but stays much longer on clothes (and even on my cat, who loves sleeping on them 😄).
It spreads easily, absorbs quickly, leaves no stickiness or white residue, and makes the skin feel silky and deeply nourished. A perfect winter body butter — warm, comforting, and rich without being heavy.
🍑 Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
This one is lighter in texture and has a bright creamy color. The scent is legendary — sweet, spicy, fruity, and tropical, and it stays on the skin for half a day, on clothes until the next wash.
The cream absorbs quickly, softens the skin instantly, and leaves it smooth and moisturized. It doesn’t feel greasy or tacky, and it gives that signature Sol de Janeiro glow.
Of course, it won’t magically “tighten” anything (despite the name 😉), but it does make your skin look and feel amazing.
💬 Verdict: both are fantastic!
If you’re willing to splurge a little — go for it. Delícia for cozy winter evenings, Bum Bum for summer beach vibes.
