Micellar waters have recently become my rediscovery. I used to rely solely on cleansing oils and balms, but lately, I’ve found myself reaching for micellar water more often — it’s quick, gentle, and effective. My latest test subject: MIXA Cleansing Micellar Water Optimal Tolerance. 🇫🇷
MIXA is a French drugstore brand that I often spotted on shelves but somehow always passed by — until now. I picked up the 400 ml bottle for sensitive skin, and it’s safe to say, I’m impressed.
The design is simple and practical: sturdy transparent plastic, a light blue cap, and a small dispenser. The liquid itself is clear, fragrance-free, and slightly foamy when shaken. I use reusable pads, soak them thoroughly, and gently wipe my skin without rubbing. The micellar water instantly removes foundation and eyeshadow; for mascara or brow gel, I just hold the pad a few seconds longer — no stinging, no irritation.
It doesn’t burn the eyes, doesn’t leave residue or bitterness on the lips, and effectively removes even long-wear pencils and glitter. The formula feels soothing and non-drying — no redness or tightness afterward. Plus, it’s quite economical to use.
✨ Verdict: simple, affordable, and surprisingly effective. A lovely find for sensitive skin!
