Bioderma Nodé A Soothing Shampoo: a promising start with a disappointing ending

Bad and truly disappointing shampoos rarely appear on my beauty path. But today’s story is exactly about one of them — a sneaky product that started as a top student and ended up ruining my hair. Meet Bioderma Nodé A Soothing Shampoo.

I genuinely like the Bioderma brand and enjoy many of their facial skincare products. So when I was choosing a shampoo and saw an attractive price for a generous 400 ml bottle, I grabbed it without hesitation. The packaging is pleasant: rounded green bottle with a convenient pump. The shampoo itself is transparent, smells fresh, is designed for sensitive scalps, and contains D-panthenol.

It lathers perfectly from the first wash and cleanses the scalp well, although I usually shampoo twice. Everything was going great until about 25% of the product was left in the bottle. One evening, I washed my hair as usual, but during the final rinse I noticed that my hair felt strangely dry. I always wash my hair in the evening, so I decided to assess the situation in the morning.

The surprise was unpleasant: I woke up with an unwashed, greasy patch on the crown of my head. I rushed to rewash my hair, but almost nothing helped. I washed it four times and barely managed to fix the situation, leaving my hair unpleasant to the touch.

The next time, I used another shampoo first and then followed with this one. It still dried out my hair, but at least without the greasy crown effect. Now there’s only a small amount left, and to avoid further damage, I use it no more than once a week and always in combination with other cleansing products.

My advice: don’t buy untested shampoos right away in 400 ml bottles — anything can happen.
