Lumene VALO Nordic-C Pure Glow Cleansing Balm — Review

In winter, I prefer cleansing balms or oils to remove makeup, as they feel gentler on the skin than micellar water and nourish my dry skin. My latest purchase was Lumene VALO Nordic-C Pure Glow Cleansing Balm.

The balm comes in an opaque, soft tube with 125 ml of product. The packaging looks nice, with a gradient from orange to white and a claim of 84% natural ingredients. The formula contains almond, shea, and olive oils, as well as rosemary extract.

The tube has a screw cap and a small opening that was originally sealed with foil. The product dispenses easily without any issues. The balm has a light citrus scent that isn’t irritating. It’s quite thick, yellowish in color, and feels oily when applied. The first time I used it, I applied too much and felt an unpleasant film, but with a smaller amount, that problem disappeared.

The balm spreads well across the face and immediately feels like it’s cleansing. On the eye area, it can slightly sting the mucous membrane, but nothing too uncomfortable. It emulsifies nicely, turning milky when water is added, and rinses off completely without leaving any residue or stickiness. Of course, I always follow with a foam cleanser as the second step.

Overall, I liked this balm — it removes makeup well and doesn’t dry out my skin. If it were less greasy and didn’t sting the eyes, I would definitely repurchase it.
