L’Oréal Hyaluronic Oil-Plumper Tint – Shade 113 Crystal Ice

L’Oréal has recently released a new product — hyaluronic oil-plumpers with a tint effect that reacts to the lips’ pH. I was choosing between the dark purple and the blue shade, and the latter won, so I ended up with shade 113 Crystal Ice.

The gloss-oil comes without a box, in a plastic tube of 5 ml. The shade name is written on the bottom, but it’s clearly visible through the transparent packaging — a soft icy blue that really looks like a cube of ice.

Inside there’s a medium-sized heart-shaped applicator: the pointed tip is perfect for outlining the lips, while the wider part spreads the product evenly. The oil smells of menthol and looks completely transparent on the hand, with no plumping sensation there.

Everything changes once it’s applied to the lips — the oil both cools and gently warms at the same time. It’s a very unusual sensation, but surprisingly pleasant, with no pain or discomfort, just light tingling and freshness.

On the lips, the tint shifts from clear to a soft pink. The shade looks extremely natural on me, while the finish is glossy and wet, making the lips appear fuller. After about 30–40 minutes, the plumping effect fades, leaving behind shine and color. The gloss lasts around three hours and disappears evenly, leaving the lips soft and moisturized.

However, there is one downside: in cold weather (around 0°C and below), a white film appears on the lips. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed this effect with liquid tints — likely due to an ingredient reacting to low temperatures. So, this one is best worn at +5°C and above.
