Garnier Fruit Hair Masks — Trying Them Again After the Reformulation

A couple of years ago, Garnier’s fruit hair masks were incredibly popular. I personally loved the banana one, and recently decided to try them again — especially since the brand promises an updated formula. This time I chose two options: the Aloe moisturizing mask and the Pineapple mask for length shine.

The pineapple mask comes in a bright orange-yellow jar that instantly lifts the mood. The volume is 400 ml, with a screw-on lid but no protective seal. The mask itself is thick, white, and smells absolutely delicious — like chewing gum with a slightly tangy note. The scent stays on my hair for about 12 hours.

It applies easily, doesn’t drip, and surprisingly foams quite a lot when rinsed out. I use it strictly as a mask: apply a generous amount to damp, towel-dried hair, leave it on for around 10 minutes, then rinse. The result is deeply moisturized and nourished hair. This mask nourishes better than all the others I’ve tried — it smooths the length without weighing it down. Hair looks healthy, shiny, and well cared for, which I really love.

The aloe mask has a very pleasant, natural herbal scent that almost completely disappears once the hair is dry. I apply it generously after washing and gently massage it into the hair. It feels slightly slippery, which makes me think it contains some silicones. It rinses out quite easily, though it also foams.

After rinsing, my hair feels moisturized — but personally, I still want a bit more nourishment. Even so, visually the hair looks beautiful: smooth, shiny, well-groomed, and without frizz. The consumption is extremely economical, and the price is very budget-friendly.
