Pupa Vamp!Lash Extender

Lately I’ve been quite unlucky with mascaras — some are too weak, some barely visible, and others just flake off during the day. I had high hopes for the Pupa Vamp!Lash Extender Mascara that I received in an advent calendar, but unfortunately it didn’t fully work out for me.

The packaging is classic for the brand: a bright red box and a metallic beetroot-colored tube that looks quite luxurious. It contains 14 ml of product, which is quite generous. Even without testers, you can already understand the brush design thanks to the illustration on the packaging.

The brush is plastic, slightly tapered at the tip, with bristles of different lengths that don’t poke the eyelid. If you accidentally smudge a little during application, it’s easy to fix with a dry cotton swab. The texture is creamy — not too wet, not too dry. One coat gives beautiful length, while two coats add a bit of volume, so overall it focuses more on elongation.

The lashes don’t clump, and the eyes look more open and defined. Honestly, I really like the initial effect — but there is one big downside.

After just a few hours, the mascara starts to flake under the eyes. It doesn’t depend much on weather — although in heat it also transfers to the upper lid. By the end of the day, it has mostly disappeared and creates a “panda” effect. It removes easily with micellar water, but sadly the wear time is disappointing.
