Catrice has once again updated its ассортимент — this time with a spring release. Many cool products appeared, but what interested me most were the eyeshadows and this brow gel in a small pot.
The packaging is pleasant and minimalist — a transparent jar with a black lid. The volume is only 5 ml. There is no inner lid under the cap, but there was a thin plastic safety seal. When you open it, you see a completely transparent jelly that looks firm, but in reality is very soft and flexible. It has no scent.
I pick it up with a clean spoolie from a brow pencil — it’s more convenient for me, although a standard angled brush works too. The jelly shapes the hairs and gives the brows form, but some hairs at the tails don’t obey and keep sticking out. Even if you try to “glue” them to the skin, after 10–15 seconds they spring back.
The lamination effect is visible at the front of the brows — the hairs lie nicely and you can shape them. But there is absolutely no fixation: I can run my finger over my brows and the hairs get messy again, as if nothing was applied. The gel is invisible on the hairs but feels slightly sticky, and even by the end of the day the stickiness doesn’t go away. If you apply too much, an unpleasant white cast remains.
I apply a pencil or powder over the gel — the effect looks great. You can also do it the other way around, but then part of the product rubs off. Overall, the gel is interesting, but not ideal.
