About a year ago, I discovered the magic of leave-in creams, serums, and lotions for hair — before that, I relied only on oils and sprays. But as it turns out, creams work even better for my hair type. Out of all the ones I’ve tried, one product stands out, especially for those with fine hair: Alfaparf Milano Semi di Lino Density Thickening Cream.
This Italian brand is well-known for professional haircare, and I’ve tried a lot from them — always with great results. The serum comes in a cute 125 ml bottle with a convenient pump dispenser.
It’s designed for all hair types and promises to thicken strands, add shine, and protect from heat up to 230°C.
The texture is dense and slightly silicone-like, with a scent that’s a mix of powder and something metallic (odd but not unpleasant). Thankfully, the scent fades once the hair is dry.
On my fine hair, this works beautifully as a thickening treatment. I use about double the amount shown on the swatch, spread it through almost dry hair, and finish blow-drying. The result: my hair instantly feels thicker and fuller, yet remains light and soft. Ends look neat and sealed, and the overall shine is lovely.
This isn’t a styling cream — so don’t expect hold — but the hair looks healthy, smooth, and well-groomed. It doesn’t weigh down the hair or make it greasy, even with regular use. A little goes a long way!
