I adore light foundations, tints, and BB creams, so after reading countless reviews of the Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream, I decided to give it a try — and I haven’t regretted it for a second.
I got it at a funny discount price, but even without a sale it’s quite affordable. It comes without a box, though the tube is sealed at the nozzle. My version is the blue one, designed for hydration (there are other variants too).
The tube contains 30 ml, and the design is cute and bright. The cream itself has a light, slightly silicone-like texture, beige in color, and with a subtle scent. I apply it with a sponge — not too damp, just slightly moistened — that way, the coverage turns out denser. If applied with a wet sponge, the finish becomes ultra-light and natural.
Despite its airy texture, the BB cream evens out the complexion beautifully and covers small imperfections. It’s even gentle enough to use under the eyes — it doesn’t crease or settle. Another big advantage: it contains SPF protection.
On my dry skin, it performs perfectly — it doesn’t emphasize dryness or settle into pores or fine lines. It doesn’t oxidize and gives a healthy, dewy glow. If I want a matte look, I just lightly set it with powder, and it never looks cakey. It lasts all day, even through long wear.
I avoid using it in extreme heat, but for mild and warm days, it’s an ideal everyday BB cream. I’ve also worn it in cooler weather — it stayed flawless then too.
