My first encounter with MAC skincare unexpectedly started with their Lip Conditioner Hydratant, which I discovered in an advent calendar — and honestly, I was impressed!
The packaging is very on-brand: a sleek black-and-white box with a 15 ml plastic tube inside. It comes with a screw cap and a slanted applicator tip. Since petrolatum is listed as the first ingredient, I expected a thick balm, but it turned out to have a lighter, silicone-like texture — plus, a soft vanilla scent that feels comforting.
On the lips, it melts instantly, spreads evenly, and forms a delicate protective layer that shields against wind and dryness. It doesn’t bleed past the lip line, doesn’t feel sticky, and delivers deep hydration. I love using it both before makeup and overnight — after 8–9 hours, my lips feel smooth and nourished, just like after a sleeping mask.
A genuinely great product that deserves more attention — simple, effective, and very MAC. 💋
