Glitter on the face is definitely not my thing. I can wear it maybe once a year — on New Year’s Eve — just to shine a little. But there’s one glitter in my collection that I can’t help admiring: NYX Face & Body Glitter in shade 06, because it’s simply stunning.
The tiny jar holds 2.5 g of product, which is honestly a lifetime supply (unless you’re a makeup artist or a festival lover). Shade 06 is a gorgeous silver-based multicolor, reflecting every hue of the rainbow when the light hits it.
The glitter particles are small hexagons, but creating a uniform layer with them is quite tricky — at least for me, nearly impossible. The jar has a fine sifter to control the amount, but you’ll still need a special glitter glue or tacky base, otherwise it won’t stick at all.
Technically, glitters like this shouldn’t be applied directly to eyelids — the risk of getting particles into your eyes is high. But for the sake of some pretty photos, I took the risk. 😅
The application turned out uneven, but oh, how it shines! Especially under sunlight — you can see a whole constellation sparkling across the skin.
However, wearing this kind of makeup is uncomfortable — you can feel the glitter on your lids and have to watch constantly so it doesn’t move. Removing it is best done carefully with tape, avoiding contact with the eyes. I managed to remove everything safely, but I’d still recommend using it on the face, body, or fixed lid, not directly near the lash line.
