Two-phase makeup removers are rare guests in my beauty routine, but beauty boxes occasionally bring them into my collection. This time, I’ve been using the Yves Rocher Express Eye Makeup Remover with Cornflower Extract, and overall, I’m quite satisfied with it.
I have a 100 ml travel size, while the full-size version contains twice as much product. The packaging is identical: a flip-top cap with a dispenser underneath. Before use, the bottle needs to be shaken so the blue and transparent phases mix together. Then the liquid is applied to a cotton pad, placed on the area with makeup, left for a few seconds, and gently wiped away.
The product is designed for eye makeup removal, but I also use it to remove lipstick residue — it handles that well too. A small tip to avoid excess oiliness: first wipe the skin with the side of the cotton pad where the product was applied, then flip the pad and wipe again. This helps remove leftover oil and makes the skin feel more comfortable. Of course, proper cleansing afterward is still essential, regardless of the makeup remover used.
The remover feels comfortable in use: it doesn’t irritate my eyes, doesn’t leave bitterness or stickiness, and only feels slightly oily — something that a regular face wash easily resolves. The consumption isn’t the most economical, but that’s typical for liquid makeup removers. Overall, it’s a gentle and pleasant product that does its job well.
