Last winter, I really fell in love with barrier creams. They’re rich enough to protect the skin but still comfortable to wear — almost like wrapping your face in a cozy blanket. My favorite turned out to be the Korean Rawquest Barrier Recovery Cream, which comes in a generous 80 ml size.
The packaging is opaque, which doesn’t bother me much since the plastic is soft and it’s easy to squeeze out the product. It has a flip-top cap and a small dispenser. I also appreciate that the neck of the tube stays clean — the cream doesn’t build up or dry around the opening, so the packaging always looks neat.
The cream itself is quite rich but doesn’t feel heavy or uncomfortable. It has a very subtle scent reminiscent of melted milk, and the color is beige. I usually apply it in the evening after my serums because for daytime it feels a bit too nourishing — I’m afraid my foundation might slide.
At night, however, it’s perfect. It seals in any serum beautifully without conflicting with other skincare products. The skin instantly feels protected and cushioned with nourishment. The cream absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave any sticky residue.
By morning, my skin feels soft, nourished, and velvety. I didn’t experience any breakouts or irritation — only positive results.
