Sometimes I get the urge to deeply cleanse my pores, especially on my nose. Usually, I rely on cleansing oils, but occasionally I buy pore strips. Unfortunately, the selection in stores is quite limited, so I picked up two budget options from Balea — the regular Hautrein Anti-Mitesser Nose Strips and the charcoal Aktivkohle Nose Strips.
The regular version comes in a simple cardboard box with three strips inside. They are a standard shape and fit my nose well without lifting at the edges. The scent is neutral and not overpowering. They initially stick to the skin, but only for about a minute — after that, they start sliding off and don’t stay in place.
As a result, they don’t provide any real cleansing effect. There’s no deep cleaning at all — in fact, they do absolutely nothing. The only positive is that they don’t irritate or damage the skin. Overall, a completely useless product for me.
The charcoal version, however, turned out to be a completely different story. Despite being from the same brand, the performance is much better. These strips also come in a cardboard box with three pieces inside, but each strip is individually wrapped. They are black due to the charcoal content and look quite different from the regular ones.
They adhere much better to the skin and stay in place until you remove them. When peeling them off, they don’t hurt or irritate the skin, but they do a great job at очищение. You can clearly see the contents of the pores on the strip afterward — larger pores are cleaned out, and even smaller ones look noticeably better. I really like the result and will definitely keep using them.
