I own quite a few “my lips but better” glosses, but there’s one I’d especially like to highlight — because it’s both beautiful and budget-friendly. Rimmel Oh My Gloss in the shade #130 Purrr… Glossy works perfectly on its own and pairs effortlessly with any lip liner.
The formula contains argan oil, designed to care for the lips, and the brand claims up to 6 hours of wear. The packaging is simple and straightforward, with a volume of 6.5 ml. The applicator has a flat, paddle-like shape, which makes application easy and precise. Even without a sharply defined tip, outlining the lips is comfortable. That said, the applicator picks up quite a lot of product, so I usually remove the excess before applying.
The texture may look dense in the tube, but that’s misleading. On the lips, it feels lightweight and airy. The gloss has a soft powdery scent and a well-designed stopper that controls the product nicely.
Shade 130 is a rosy nude filled with fine shimmer particles. They’re very small and blend into a smooth, even glow rather than looking chunky or glittery. The gloss isn’t sticky at all, but it does provide noticeable softness and hydration. It smooths out lip lines instead of settling into them and doesn’t form a white line over time. It looks great worn alone and pairs beautifully with darker lip liners, without breaking down or dissolving them — in fact, it helps extend their wear.
