I had heard a lot about the Dear, Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream from beauty bloggers who praised its unique blue color and supposedly rich, nourishing formula. Of course, I had to try it myself — but my experience turned out to be a bit different.
The packaging is minimalistic, as expected from a Korean brand. It comes in a box with detailed information, and the jar contains 50 ml of product. The container is made of glass and includes a small spatula for hygienic application.
Under the screw cap, there’s an additional protective lid. Inside is the signature blue cream with a rather unusual scent — not unpleasant, but definitely distinctive. The texture looks quite rich at first, but once applied, it feels lighter and almost transforms into a gel-like consistency. It spreads easily and absorbs quickly into the skin.
For my dry skin during colder months, it wasn’t nourishing enough. I expected a richer, more intensive formula, but it turned out to be fairly lightweight. However, when I switched to using it in warmer weather, it performed much better — providing hydration, softness, and a smooth skin texture.
The cream works well with other skincare products, doesn’t cause any pilling, and leaves no stickiness. I prefer using it as a night cream — by morning, my skin looks fresh and well-rested. When used in the morning, though, it can leave a slight film-like feeling, so I stick to evening use.
