Korean peel-off sleeping masks have become such a huge trend lately that I also couldn’t resist and eventually picked up the most talked-about one — Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask. It’s basically everywhere on social media right now, so I was genuinely curious to see if it lives up to all the hype.
The packaging is really pretty and aesthetically pleasing: a soft pastel pink box and a matching plastic jar with a flip-top lid. I also like that it’s not entirely in Korean — there are English explanations too, which makes it much easier to understand how to use it properly.
The jar contains 50 ml, which may not sound like much at first, but in reality it lasts quite a long time because you only need a very thin layer. It dries quickly and forms a flexible film, which is actually the key to the whole concept. The idea is simple: apply your usual skincare (you can be generous here), wait around 15 minutes for it to set, and then go to sleep. In the morning you simply peel it off and enjoy the result.
What surprised me is how fast it really dries and how thin the film becomes — it feels like a second skin. Because of this, it can slightly lift around the nose area during the night, but overall it stays almost completely intact until morning. It peels off easily without any discomfort, and whatever tiny bits remain can be rinsed off effortlessly with warm water.
In the morning the skin genuinely looks more hydrated, plump and glowing, and there is definitely a visible smoothing effect — fine lines look softer and even blackheads appear less noticeable after just one use. However, the feeling on the skin during cleansing is a bit mixed for me, as it can seem like a slight buildup of oil or residue overnight, which is not the most pleasant sensation personally.
Still, the results are impressive enough for me to keep using it occasionally, about once every 10–14 days. I don’t reach for it too often, but I can see why it’s so popular, especially for special skin-recovery nights.
