After turning 35, I started noticing that fine expression lines around my eyes were becoming more pronounced. That’s when I decided to take action and chose something more powerful — the Seoul 1988 Eye Cream Retinal Liposome 4% + Fermented Bean. After three months of use, I’m ready to share my results.
This Korean brand was new to me, but the packaging made a good first impression. The cream comes in a soft beige plastic tube (30 ml) with a box full of information — although most of it is in Korean. The applicator has a transparent tip, which is quite interesting — you can actually see the product filling it before use.
Since the formula contains retinal, the cream has a pale yellow color and no noticeable scent. The texture is lightweight, semi-gel, and absorbs quickly. During the first uses, I experienced slight flaking — a normal reaction to retinoids. That’s why I recommend starting slowly: once a week at first, then gradually increasing frequency. I now use it 3–4 times a week, alternating with another eye cream.
The cream doesn’t sting, irritate, or cause redness. I only use it at night, as retinal can increase sensitivity to sunlight, and I prefer not to risk pigmentation during the day.
As for the results — the cream hydrates and nourishes the skin well. At first, I didn’t notice much difference, but after about a month, I saw visible improvements: my expression lines became less noticeable, especially when smiling. I believe this result comes from a combination of this cream with peptides and eye patches in my routine.
For now, I’m pausing its use for the summer, but I’ll definitely return to it in autumn.
