Lately, lip pencils have been at the peak of popularity — you can apply them all over the lips or use them just to define the contour. And the whole lip combo trend (lip liner + lipstick or gloss) has completely taken over. So I’m joining in and showing you my absolute favorite lip pencil at the moment — Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in shade 600 Anywhere Caffeine, a truly universal shade.
The pencil is marketed as multi-use for both eyes and lips, but I use it exclusively on my lips. It comes in a wooden pencil format, weighs 1.41 g, and has a cap matching the shade. Made in the Czech Republic, it needs sharpening, but there’s no sharpener included.
Compared to all my other lip liners, this one is noticeably longer, so it will last a really long time. Shade 600 Anywhere Caffeine is a dream for anyone who loves natural makeup. It’s a neutral beige-brown tone that goes with literally everything — from lip glosses to bold lipsticks. You can also wear it on its own, filling in the entire lip area, just make sure to prep your lips beforehand.
The pencil defines the lip contour softly and blends easily. At the same time, it’s very long-lasting and doesn’t break down easily, even with lip oils. It’s an absolute pleasure to wear — natural, effortless, and flattering. I’m completely in love with it and use it almost every day.
