Frudia is well known for its interesting cosmetic ingredients — I used to absolutely love their blueberry line for dry skin, which worked wonderfully for me. Last summer, I decided to explore their sunscreens, and Green Grape Sebum Control Sun Gel SPF 50 turned out to be the best sunscreen I’ve ever tried.
This sunscreen belongs to the green grape line and is designed for oily skin, yet it worked perfectly for my dry skin as well. The volume is standard — 50 ml — and the packaging looks fresh and cheerful. I especially appreciate the flat tube format, which is very convenient for travel and everyday use.
The nozzle was sealed with a protective foil, which I always consider a plus.
The texture is light and highly effective. The sunscreen has a bright white color and a watery, gel-like consistency, yet it doesn’t run or drip. When spread on the skin, it leaves absolutely no white cast. The scent is pleasant — grape-like, but not artificial or overpowering, almost natural. It lingers for just a couple of minutes after application.
Protection-wise, this sunscreen performed exceptionally well. I used it last summer during extreme heat, when temperatures reached almost 40°C. I walked a lot, swam, spent time in the car — and my skin stayed well protected throughout. I didn’t get sunburned, yet I still developed a light, even tan. For me, this is the ideal balance: protected skin without staying completely pale.
As for the cooling effect claimed by the brand, I personally didn’t notice it — perhaps it’s very subtle.
Overall, this sunscreen is excellent: non-sticky, doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts, removes easily with cleansing oil, doesn’t interfere with concealers (which was all I wore in such heat), and doesn’t melt or slide on the skin. A true favorite.
