I usually prefer basic face creams: all the skin’s needs are covered by serums, while creams are meant simply to “seal” everything in. However, from time to time a cream can pleasantly surprise — and that’s exactly what happened with Mizon Collagen Power Firming Enriched Cream.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Korean skincare, so when my previous face cream ran out, I didn’t hesitate to choose something from this category. The Mizon cream comes in a sturdy cardboard box and a heavy jar that looks like glass (but is actually plastic), with a volume of 50 ml. It was originally sealed with a protective foil membrane.
The formula is enriched with collagen, which explains its unusual texture — a cream-gel hybrid. The color resembles warm milk, and the scent is almost nonexistent. Although the cream feels quite dense at first, it melts into the skin and absorbs quickly. What truly surprised me was the complete absence of stickiness. You apply it and forget about it — yet the skin becomes smoother, softer, and velvety.
Another important point: this cream works beautifully even on its own, without any serums. I mostly use it in the morning. It performs just as well solo as it does layered over any serum — usually hydrating or peptide-based ones in my routine. The cream seals everything in nicely, works perfectly as a makeup base, doesn’t make the skin greasy, and leaves it looking healthy and well cared for.
