Taft Volume Mousse for fine hair

I don’t really use styling products that often because I just don’t enjoy doing my hair, but sometimes I want curls or I simply need a more put-together look for an occasion. In those moments I reach for a few trusted products, and one of them is Taft Volume Mousse for fine hair.

I’m using the version with hold level 4, although there is also a stronger level 5 for extra-strong fixation. The mousse comes in a compact green 150 ml bottle with a protective cap and a convenient dispenser. Before use, you need to shake it well and press gently to avoid taking too much product at once.

The mousse is fragrance-free, which I actually like, and it spreads easily through the hair without making it sticky or overly stiff. My hair does become slightly firmer at first, but once I comb through the excess, it becomes soft and movable again.

I usually use it for loose, effortless curls: I apply it to the hair, scrunch it with my hands, and twist sections into loose strands. If my hair is slightly damp, I finish drying it with a hairdryer and then loosen the curls with a wide-tooth comb and my fingers for a natural, voluminous look.

With hairspray, the style holds around 4–5 hours, and without it the wear time is shorter, but that’s just my hair type since it doesn’t hold styles very well. Still, for me this result is already a win.
