While the weather hasn’t turned fully cold yet, lip glosses are still very much in my rotation. Lately I’ve been wearing them more often, mainly because modern formulas are no longer sticky — and stickiness was exactly why I used to avoid glosses. Today I want to talk about a lovely option: Essence Juicy Bomb Lip Gloss in shade 04 Crazy Cherry.
The packaging is as simple as it gets: a transparent plastic tube with a screw cap and a slanted applicator. The volume is generous — 10 ml — and the product is made in Poland. The applicator is comfortable to use, dispensing just the right amount of gloss without splattering or overdoing it.
The texture is semi-gel and very pleasant. It doesn’t run, spreads evenly, and feels lightweight on the lips. In the tube, shade 04 looks like a bright raspberry, but on the lips it turns out to be semi-transparent. In macro swatches you can notice tiny bluish shimmer particles, but in real life they are practically invisible.
The gloss has a soft fruity scent — noticeable but not overpowering. Upon application, it gives an instant feeling of hydration and comfort without any stickiness. It doesn’t settle into lip lines, provides an even glossy finish, and visually makes lips look fuller.
The wear time is around a couple of hours, after which it fades evenly or absorbs into the lips. It doesn’t dry them out and leaves them soft and moisturized. Overall, this gloss really impressed me — I’ll definitely be wearing it a lot more next summer.
