This year I finally tried a sunscreen in stick format for the first time. I know they were super popular last summer, but I only got around to it now — and I chose the Ma:nyo Hyaluron Hydrating Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++.
The packaging is really գեղեցous: a stylish cardboard box with all the info inside, and the stick itself comes in a compact plastic case. It contains 19 g of product, but thanks to its solid, balm-like texture (similar to a deodorant stick), it’s quite economical and lasts a long time.
The stick twists up easily with a simple turn. It’s fragrance-free, feels dense at first glance, but glides onto the skin effortlessly and feels almost weightless. I’ve tried it both on bare skin and over makeup. On clean skin, it applies perfectly — no streaks, no white cast. It’s not greasy, although you can slightly feel it if you touch your face.
Over makeup, it also performs surprisingly well. I was worried it might disturb my foundation, but it doesn’t — it stays invisible. Only if you press too hard, you might get a bit of product buildup, but that happened to me just once.
This stick is perfect for reapplying SPF throughout the day. It doesn’t clog pores, removes easily with cleansing oil, and didn’t cause any irritation or breakouts. I genuinely enjoyed using it — such a convenient format!
