Avon Anew Skin Reset Ampoule Serum — Review

Ampoule serums have become very popular lately. Some people see them as closer to medical treatments due to their format, while others consider them more effective because of their super-concentrated formulas and single-use design. I tried Avon Anew Skin Reset “Innovation” with Protinol and honestly, I still feel they are neither.

The packaging is original: a cardboard box containing seven 1.3 ml blue plastic ampoules on a plastic tray. To open an ampoule, you need to snap it in the middle — I usually do it with a towel, otherwise it’s tricky.

The promises are many — the innovative Protinol ingredient and visible changes in 7 days. Recommended use is once daily, with a weekly course repeated each month.

I personally find one ampoule too much for a single use, so I divide it into 2–3 applications. The inconvenience is storage — once opened, you have to hope nothing gets inside the remaining serum.

Inside, the serum is light blue, fluid, and nearly odorless, with a texture similar to a thick toner. It spreads easily, absorbs almost instantly without stickiness, and works well under any cream.

I used it daily for two weeks, and honestly, I didn’t notice much difference. My skin felt more hydrated and nourished, but there was no wow effect. Perhaps my skin is already in good condition, so I rate this serum as fairly standard. Still, it does provide decent hydration.
