I truly love shimmery eyeshadows — they work perfectly for everyday makeup and look especially beautiful when the sun hits the lids. During my last trip to Warsaw, I couldn’t resist picking up a new release from the local brand Wibo — the High Flex Foil Eyeshadow in the pink shade 03 Sugar Baby.
The eyeshadows are made in China and come in simple but sturdy packaging. The plastic doesn’t feel flimsy and clicks shut securely. Inside, there are 2.5 g of foiled eyeshadow. The texture looks like tiny reflective flakes that shift from pink to silver with a subtle bluish sheen.
They can be picked up generously with a finger or applied more delicately using a silicone applicator. On the eyelids, they blend a bit unevenly, but the payoff is extremely sparkly — in sunlight or evening lighting they shimmer beautifully and catch the light in an eye-catching way.
Unfortunately, longevity is not their strong point on me. I tried applying them over a base and a primer, but the result was the same: after a couple of hours, they crease and gather in the folds of the eyelids. You can fix them, of course, but due to the foiled texture, they tend to crease again quite quickly — so the sparkle doesn’t last very long.
On the plus side, they barely fall under the eyes during application or wear, remove easily, and don’t irritate my eyes. Short-lived, but undeniably beautiful while they last.
