Glowy makeup is at the peak of popularity right now, and I’m definitely not resisting this trend. Recently, a multifunctional product appeared in my makeup bag — Sephora Care Make It Glow in shade 03 Sunset Shine, which is marketed as a universal product for the face, eyes, and lips.
The format is very convenient: a compact, rounded bottle with a 10 ml full-size volume that easily fits even into a small makeup pouch. The brand states that 97% of the ingredients are of natural origin. The product is made in Italy, and the period after opening is 12 months.
The bottle is transparent, so you can clearly see how much product is left. The cap is screw-on, and underneath there’s a neat nozzle that dispenses the product in small, controlled amounts.
The texture is semi-gel: a transparent base filled with numerous shimmering particles. Shade 03 Sunset Shine looks like a soft beige-pink with a warm golden glow. When blended out, the product applies quite evenly and appears almost uniform on the skin.
However, there is a nuance — the product sets very quickly, so you need to work with it fast and without hesitation. Now, onto practical use.
On the lips worn alone, the product looks rather dry and emphasizes texture. It performs much better layered over lipstick or lip liner, but even then it requires caution — careless application may break down the base layer underneath.
As a cream blush with a highlighting effect, it looks pretty, but when you move your head, it can unexpectedly emphasize skin texture even in areas that are usually not problematic.
In the evening, under artificial lighting, the result looks more flattering and softer.
On the eyelids, however, the product performed the worst — it almost immediately creases and loses its neat appearance.
Conclusion: it’s hard to call this product truly universal. Personally, the best way for me to use it is on the lips, layered over a liner or lipstick. As a highlighter — possibly, but not for every skin type and not for every occasion.
That said, within an overall look, the product still appears soft and harmonious — especially if you don’t try to use it everywhere at once.
Everyone will draw their own conclusions, but for me, this product looks best on the hand in swatches and as a lip topper, rather than as a fully multifunctional makeup product.
