I’m already familiar with Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palettes, but I hadn’t tried their lip products before. When I spotted a great discount on a beauty box featuring Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre, I couldn’t resist.
The packaging feels luxurious: a beautiful cardboard box and a faceted plastic tube inside. The size is 3.5 ml. The applicator is quite small, which makes application less convenient — it doesn’t pick up much product, so you need to dip it back in several times.
My shade is Seduction, a classic warm beige nude that can slightly lighten the lips. The texture is thick and dense, not the easiest to spread. It needs careful blending to avoid uneven patches. Applied too generously, it can leave streaks. The scent is pleasantly caramel-like, though barely noticeable once on the lips.
The gloss feels sticky and heavy. During wear, it may settle into lip lines and form a white line along the inner rim of the lips — something I really didn’t expect from a luxury product. On the positive side, it doesn’t dry out the lips. Longevity is around 4 hours and it fades easily.
Maybe it’s just this particular shade, but I’m not tempted to try more.
