Micellar shampoos have never been very common in my experience — I can only recall a couple of them. So when I was placing an order at Yves Rocher and needed a shampoo, the “micellar” label immediately caught my attention, and I decided to give it a try.
The shampoo comes in a pleasant green plastic bottle with a flip-top cap and a volume of 300 ml. All detailed information is printed on the back in French and English, while Russian is present only on a small sticker.
The shampoo has a medium consistency, is transparent with a greenish tint, and smells wonderfully herbal and fresh. After the first use, I was slightly confused — it felt as if the cleansing power was too mild, even though my scalp was clean. However, after the second or third wash, I started to fully understand the effect — apparently, it just took a bit of time to adjust.
The shampoo lathers very well, gently cleanses both scalp and hair without drying out the roots or the lengths. It gives noticeable volume that lasts for about a day and a half. It rinses out easily, leaves the hair shiny, soft, and manageable, and helps prevent static. Of course, a conditioner also plays a role, but even without it, the hair is easy to comb.
The only downside for me is the dispenser opening — it’s a bit too large, so I always end up pouring out more product than necessary.
