MAC’s famous setting spray now comes in a new format: Fix+ Stay Over Alcohol-Free Long-Lasting Setting Spray. As the name suggests, it’s alcohol-free. I received mine in an Asos advent calendar, so I don’t use it daily, but when I do, it’s very effective.
The spray comes in a white, opaque bottle with pink details, 30 ml in size. The mist is fine and smooth — a light press releases just a little, while pressing harder creates a soft cloud.
It’s completely fragrance-free, transparent, and dries quickly. I use it on my whole face when I want my makeup to last, and also discovered a clever trick: it can lock in loose pigments on the eyes. Spritz a little onto your hand or brush, dip it into loose eyeshadow, and apply quickly — the pigments stay in place and look vibrant.
The setting spray ensures pigments don’t crease or fall out (apply on dry eyelids for best results). It also enhances shimmer, creating a smooth, reflective finish. It doesn’t dry out skin or eyes, causes no irritation, and is a total winner in my book.
