Once again, I fell for the hype and picked up a Japanese haircare duo from the Melty Moist Repair line by & Honey. The adorable honey-inspired bottles and promises of intense hair repair were just too tempting to resist.
The packaging is absolutely gorgeous — soft pink “honey jar” bottles with convenient pumps. There was a sticker with lots of information in Japanese, but I removed it right away. The shampoo comes in a 440 ml bottle, it’s transparent with a light pink tint and has a medium-liquid texture.
It lathers beautifully even from the first wash and cleanses the scalp really well. I especially loved the scent — a delicate blooming sakura fragrance that lingers on the hair until it dries. It’s soft, subtle, but still noticeable in a very pleasant way.
The pump dispenses quite a lot of product in one go — perfect for long hair like mine, though it might be too much for shorter lengths. The shampoo doesn’t dry out the scalp or the hair, leaving it soft, airy, and with a natural volume. However, it doesn’t really extend freshness — I still wash my hair every two days.
To pair with it, I picked up the conditioner from the same line, hoping for extra nourishment after winter. The packaging is just as beautiful, but in a warmer, peachy tone. It contains 445 g of product and comes with the same удобная pump.
The formula is enriched with argan oil, and it really delivers in terms of nourishment. It moisturizes, softens, and adds a healthy shine to the hair. The scent is floral and pleasant, though it doesn’t last long after washing — the shampoo is definitely more noticeable.
The texture is lightweight, not overly silicone-heavy, but spreads easily and coats each strand nicely. It can foam slightly while rinsing, but nothing unusual. Even during rinsing, the hair feels smooth, and after drying it looks soft, hydrated, and neat — especially the ends, which feel much less dry.
Overall, this duo feels very comfortable and easy to use. It may not give a dramatic “repair” effect, but as a daily care option — especially the conditioner — it works really well.
