Metallic nail polish Frosted Sky — budget beauty with a wow-effect

I don’t buy nail polishes that often anymore — I kind of lost interest in them, so now it really takes something special to catch my eye. But recently, a budget brand at a cosmetics store managed to do just that, and I ended up picking up a metallic shade with the beautiful name Frosted Sky.

The packaging is super simple, yet doesn’t feel cheap at all. The square bottle contains 10 ml, and you can clearly see the shade through the glass. The brush is flat and almost rectangular — surprisingly удобная, it covers my entire nail in one swipe, which makes application quick and easy.

Shade 160 is a stunning duochrome that shifts from blue to pink, and at certain angles even shows a subtle golden sheen. The finish is metallic, so it does highlight any imperfections on the nail surface. My nails are relatively smooth, but even I could notice slight streaks.

The formula is quite liquid, but still manageable — it spreads in a very thin layer and dries almost instantly. The second coat takes a bit longer to dry, so it’s better to give it time to avoid dents or gaps.

I ended up applying three layers to get the color payoff I wanted — and it looked absolutely beautiful. The longevity is also impressive: only by day three I noticed slight wear on the tips, and that’s without using a top coat.

It removes easily, doesn’t stain the nails, and overall feels like a really great budget find. Definitely a small hidden gem.
