Korean cleansing balms have held a special place in my skincare routine for years. I love them for their ability to melt away makeup effortlessly, cleanse gently, and last forever. The Pyunkang Yul Deep Clear Cleansing Balm checks all those boxes — and maybe a few more.
The design follows the brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic: a clean white box and a sky-blue jar (100 ml) with a twist-off lid. My only small complaint — the lid takes a few too many turns to open.
Inside, you’ll find a small spatula (though I usually just scoop with my fingers). Despite its solid texture, the balm melts instantly upon contact with the skin and spreads easily. It feels rich but never greasy, dissolving even waterproof mascara and SPF within seconds. There’s no stinging, no irritation — just pure comfort.
The balm is fragrance-free and flavorless. When mixed with water, it transforms into a soft milky emulsion that rinses off completely, leaving no residue or oily film. After cleansing, my skin feels clean, smooth, and hydrated.
Of course, I follow up with a foam cleanser, as part of the double-cleansing routine, but this balm alone already leaves a great impression — both in performance and feel. It’s also incredibly economical: one jar lasted me nearly three months of daily use.
