Zina The Longwear Lipstick 226 — Looks Bold, Acts Difficult 💄

I still have a few matte lipsticks left in my collection, and this one is among the last I bought — Zina The Longwear Lipstick 226, a vivid fuchsia that pretends to be perfect but turned out to be quite tricky.

The packaging is stylish — soft-touch rubberized material in the same shade as the product, very sleek and modern. You get 6 ml, made in Italy. The applicator is quite small and not the most convenient — you have to dip it several times to get enough product for even coverage.

The texture is mousse-like, with a pleasant vanilla scent. It sets quickly to a completely matte finish, which means you need to be careful — it highlights everything: dryness, cracks, fine lines. The shade 226 is a bold, almost neon fuchsia (though on my swatch it oddly leans a bit orange).

It dries fast, and with one coat it can look patchy and uneven near the inner lip line. It doesn’t necessarily dry out my lips, but it doesn’t flatter them either. Applying a second layer makes it sticky — the kind that glues your lips together if you’re not careful.

In short — it looks striking in the tube and from afar, but in reality it’s a high-maintenance diva. It wears okay through a cup of tea or coffee, but won’t survive a meal. It can be reapplied, but you need to watch the thickness of each layer to avoid clumping. Definitely not a grab-and-go product.
