I’m a huge fan of soft yet effective facial cleansing — and that’s exactly why I keep returning to Korean skincare. For the past six months, I’ve been using the Purito Defence Barrier pH Cleanser, and it seems like this tube is bottomless!
🧴 Packaging & first impressions
The design is simple yet stylish — clean white with blue accents, very “Purito.” The tube holds 150 ml and comes with a flip-top cap. Mine had a holographic authenticity sticker on the box, which I appreciate.
At first, I expected a typical foamy Korean cleanser — pearly and fluffy — but this one turned out to be more of a gel. It’s thick, clear, and foams up beautifully with just a little water. You can use a foaming net or a brush, but even by hand, you’ll get a soft, pleasant lather. I usually pair it with my Foreo for a deeper cleanse.
🍃 Texture, scent & performance
The gel smells lightly of tea tree, which adds a refreshing touch but doesn’t overpower. It produces a mild foam that cleanses incredibly well without stripping the skin.
I mostly use it as the second step in my double-cleansing routine, after an oil cleanser — but it also works great as a morning wash. After rinsing, my skin feels clean, smooth, and fresh, with no dryness or tightness.
And the best part? It’s insanely economical. After six months of daily use, I’ve used up only about half the tube.
✅ Pros: gentle pH balance, soft texture, economical, suitable for daily use
❌ Cons: none, unless you prefer a super-foamy texture
⭐ Rating: 5/5
💶 Price: around €10–12
